At the end of the first half of 2025, the economic activity in Novi Sad was performed by a total of 10,719 companies, predominantly privately owned. The largest number represented is of micro companies that make up 84.2% of all companies, following small companies with 13.4%, while much smaller number is of the medium-sized companies with 1.9%, while there are only 0.5% large companies, out of all companies. There were 27,065 entrepreneurial entities (shops). Number of legal entities by sector is presented in the following tables:
