On February 28th, 2014, the City of Novi Sad launched an open call for the award of subsidy to employers providing new job opportunities on the territory of the City of Novi Sad in 2014. The 2014 Novi Sad Employment Action Plan envisages subsidies for the creation of new jobs for the purpose of increasing the number of employed people on the city territory. That measure represents state aid of small value approved to employers from the private sector who employ those registered as unemployed in the National Employment Agency in Novi Sad. Subsidies for new job opportunities are approved to employers at lump sum of 200.000,00 RSD per employee. Entitlement to a subsidy for the creation of new jobs can be achieved by an employer based on the city territory, provided that it employs the unemployed persons who are registered with the National Employment Agency - Novi Sad Branch at newly opened jobs and as long as it submits the application together with a business plan; provided that it did not reduce the number of the employees in the last three months preceding the month in which the application was made; that it properly meets its obligations in respect to contributions for compulsory social insurance for the employees, and as long as it meets other requirements in accordance with the open call.
