Mayor Miloš Vučević met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Romania, H.E. Silvia Davidoiu in the City Hall of Novi Sad. On that occasion, they discussed successful cooperation so far and future joint activities, especially emphasizing the fraternal relations between Novi Sad and Timisoara.
The two capitals of culture have a lot in common, which was evident during the implementation of joint projects in sports, culture and education - it was pointed out at the meeting. The cultural exchange was assessed as an ideal way to, within the most important European project in culture, promote the region and all the specifics that distinguish it and make it very interesting culturally, but also touristically and economically.
Mayor Vučević expressed his belief that Novi Sad and Timisoara will contribute to even better bilateral relations between the two countries, which are traditionally good. He pointed out that multinational environments have a special respect for diversity and what they have in common is that they nurture a diverse cultural heritage, and that this makes them real promoters of the European values.
The officials agreed that cooperation will be even more intense in the future and that the focus will be on potentials when it comes to the economic plan.
