City of Novi Sad (Grantor) and "Javne garaže" d.o.o. Novi Sad (Concessionaire), signed a Concession Agreement for the construction of four public garages in Novi Sad on September 4th, 2020 - 3 underground in Modena, Banovina and Trg Republike streets and 1 above-ground in Šafarikova Street.
Based on the contract, the Concessionaire has the right to a total of 43 years of Concession, of which 3 years for design and construction and 40 years for the management of public garages from the date of handover of the location.
Modena Underground Garage
The works on construction of the Public Garage in Modena Street began on June 14th, 2022. The area of the garage covers 9,575 m2, while the construction of the garage will provide 267 parking spaces on three underground floors: 1st level - 88 parking spaces; 2nd level - 87 parking spaces; 3rd level - 92 parking spaces. Of the total number of parking spaces, 14 are for people with disabilities and 8 for electric vehicles.
The planned deadline for the completion of the works is February 28th, 2024.
Banovina Underground Garage
The construction of the Banovina Public Garage began on June 14th, 2022. The area of the garage covers 6,280 m2, in which 167 parking spaces will be provided on two underground floors: 1st level - 79 parking spaces; 2nd level - 88 parking spaces. Of the total number of parking spaces, 9 are for people with disabilities and 8 are for electric vehicles.
The planned deadline for the completion of the works is December 25th, 2023.
After the completion of the works, the City of Novi Sad will carry out ground-level (parterre) landscaping at the corner of Žarka Zrenjanina, Vladike Platona and Jovana Đorđevića streets, for the design of which the funds are provided in the City budget for 2022/2023. The designer has been introduced to the work and the development of project documentation is underway.
Šafarikova - Uspenska Street Public Garage
Bearing in mind the complexity of the procedures for the expropriation of real estate property and the administrative transfer of land use at this site, as well as a large number of previous issues that need to be resolved, Annex I of the Concession Agreement was signed on August 26th, 2022, and the deadline for solving property-legal matters was extended for another year.
It is the obligation of the Concessionaire to design a minimum of 350 parking spaces, with a permissible deviation of -10%, if it is technically and technologically feasible.
Trg Republike (Republic Square) Public Garage - underground
It is the obligation of the concessionaire to design a minimum of 400 parking spaces, with a permissible deviation of -10%, if it is technically and technologically feasible.
