- Approaching the end of 2014, we are all summing up the results and overviewing our actions from a year that has passed by. The Novi Sad Tourist Organization can be proud of its achievements, therefore, I would like to congratulate them and wish them continuous success, so that in 2015 they would achieve even better results in promoting Novi Sad. As the city administration, we are striving to build, innovate and constantly invest in the better future of our citizens, while the Tourist Organization makes results of those efforts visible, incorporated in the already-existing beauties and riches of our city. That is why we are proud that the Novi Sad Tourist Organization, responsible for the increasing popularity of our city, received the award for the Serbia’s best tourist organization in 2014 – said Mr. Sečujski.
According to the data of the Novi Sad Tourist Organization, throughout the year Novi Sad saw a constant positive percentage of tourist visits and overnight stays, both of Serbian and foreign tourists, while in the first ten months of the year the city recorded 12.2% more tourists and 13.5% more overnight stays than in the same period last year. According to the latest data of the National Bank of Serbia, foreign currency influx in Novi Sad was 16% higher in the first ten months of this year than in the same period last year.
- We are proud that the famous Trivago online search positions Novi Sad in the second spot in the world regarding hotel prices and reputation of hotels. Moreover, we are proud of the fact that CNN and Lonely Planet, as well as many others, recognized Serbia and Novi Sad as interesting destinations and included them in the Top 15 countries to visit in 2015 – said Mr. Knežević, adding that in the upcoming year he is expecting excellent cooperation with all the representatives of the Novi Sad business environment, who are an integral part of the tourist offer.
Assistant General Manager Radovan Jokić said that owing to all the positive comments and successes achieved so far, the Novi Sad Tourist Organization will strive in 2015 to keep the high level of service quality and achieve even greater results in promoting Novi Sad as a tourist destination.
