NOVI SAD THE SEAT OF RAILWAY AIR CONDITIONING FACTORY

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević met the Director General of "Serbian Railways" Dragoljub Simonović and the Manager of "Vossloh Kiepe Austria" Dejan Bošković in Belgrade and they discussed the construction of a factory in Novi Sad which would produce air-conditioning, heating and ventilation systems for all types of railway vehicles, with the possibility of employing 600 local workers.

The Director General of "Serbian Railways" said that the installation of air-conditioning system can be performed during maintenance of locomotives and wagons. In addition, "Serbian Railways" announced that 60 new trains and 15 locomotives, obtained through a loan, will arrive in Serbia and after the warranty period experies they will require maintenance, at the most favorable prices and conditions.

Mayor Miloš Vučević said that the location that City offers to the investor is in the Novi Sad Free Zone, which is a rather favorable location, as it is located near the city center, the Port of Novi Sad, and it also has a direct access to the Highway, which makes it very attractive.

During the meeting, the Manager of “Vossloh KiepeCompany Dejan Bošković said that the Company is already a partner of a repairing Company “Želvoz" from Smederevo and he expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of the Austrian company in question to Novi Sad. The "Serbian Railways" Director Dragoljub Simonović and Mayor Miloš Vučević also discussed the the Belgrade-Budapest Railway Track modernization and the destiny of the Marshalling Yard in Novi Sad.
