During the meeting, the Mayor Vučević and the ambassador Davenport also talked about Novi Sad’s Žeželj’s bridge importance, finding solutions related to its construction, as well as the modalities to overcome the obstacles and problems that still persist.

Likewise, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport and Mayor Vučević expressed mutual satisfaction with functioning of the Info-corner of the European Union in Novi Sad. It was also noted that during next year, a new office is expected to be opened in Mihajla Pupina Boulevard in Novi Sad, where visitors will find everything related to the functioning of the European Union and cooperation between Serbia and EU Member States.

Moreover, on this occasion, the City of Novi Sad was supported by the EU Office for candidacy of the European Capital of Youth, as well as for candidacy of the European Capital of Culture 2021.
Ambassador Michael Davenport welcomed the activities of Novi Sad in the Eurocities network of European cities and moving closer to the EU, and stressed that Novi Sad will always have support and assistance in the framework of EU projects.
