At the initiative of the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Novi Sad a contract between the Yugoslav River Shipping Company and Novi Sad’s PUC "City Parks" was signed in Belgrade today.
This contract specifies the Yugoslav River Shipping Company to cede a pontoon to the PUC "City Parks" that will serve as the pier on the Danube River, through which Novi Sad-based company will generate its own income. In addition to the specific benefits in the form of additional revenue, the savings of more than 30 million RSD from the city budget are anticipated, since the pontoon ceded to the city will be completely free of charge.
Through the Head of the Local Economic Development Office, Olivera Simović, the signing of the contract in question was organized as the crown of the excellent cooperation between the state and city institutions, and the signatories were the PUC "City Parks" director Milan Novaković and the Yugoslav River Shipping Company director Biljana Čvertkov, who showed an excellent cooperation and good will to implement this cooperation to mutual satisfaction and for the benefit of the City of Novi Sad.
