- It is my pleasure that the Mayor of Maastricht Onno Hoes is our guest today and that he supports cooperation among festivals which promote fashion, design and other types of applied arts. The City of Novi Sad recognizes the importance of the International Fashion and Design Festival which contributes to the development of creative industry, improves cultural and tourist potentials of Novi Sad and, by linking textile industry companies, it strengthens the economy and encourages employment – said Mr. Ilić.

Mr. Hoes thanked for the welcome and pointed out that the cities of Novi Sad and Maastricht have a lot in common.
- Our cities are dominated by young and innovative people, full of creative energy and ambition. It is very significant and I am sure that Novi Sad and Maastricht can cooperate successfully in various projects – said Mr. Hoes.

After the reception, Mr. Ilić and Mr. Hoes attended the ceremony during which the president of the "Serbia Fashion Week" Svetlana Horvat signed a cooperation agreement with the president of the "Fashion Clash" festival from Maastricht, Mr. Branko Popović.
The Serbia Fashion Week international fashion and design festival is being held from October 14th to October 19th in Novi Sad and numerous famous international and national fashion designers and applied artists are taking part.
