Milorad Radojević, a member of the City Council for Economy, attended the "AHK Road Show" event organized by the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of their twenty-year work in Serbia, with the aim of improving bilateral economic cooperation.

The meeting, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German organization GTAI (Germany Trade and Invest), presented the types of support, the current state of the economy, projects, supply initiative, potential for cooperation and entry into the German market and many other projects.

Member companies, representatives of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, the City of Novi Sad, the Regional Chamber of Commerce and other interested companies had the opportunity to exchange information, positive experiences and strengthen previous economic cooperation.

- The jubilee, twenty years of existence of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, is really important, especially taking into account the fact how much, from year to year, the economic relations between the two countries are improving. Proof of that is the large number of German companies in Serbia, which employ thousands of people, as well as the fact that Germany is the "number one" foreign trade partner of Serbia, with over 5 billion euros in exchange. Several German companies operate in Novi Sad, and a strong impetus to the development of economic cooperation between Novi Sad and Germany is the arrival of one of the world leaders in the automotive industry, the company "Continental" in our city. The presence of large world companies is proof of how much Novi Sad, Vojvodina and Serbia have progressed in recent years, how much we all work together to create better business conditions. I would like to congratulate the jubilee of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and thank it for being a reliable and stable partner of both Serbia and Novi Sad for the past twenty years. I am sure that in the next period, that cooperation will be even more intensive through the establishment of new partnerships - said Milorad Radojević and emphasized that the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce in the City of Novi Sad will always have a reliable and responsible partner.

The director of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Frank Aletter, said that the trade relations between Serbia and Germany are very good and that it is important that this cooperation survived even in these difficult times of the Corona virus pandemic.

- This year, the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its jubilee, the twentieth anniversary of very close cooperation and very good bilateral trade relations between Germany and Serbia. The German economy has invested a lot in Serbia, and one of the destinations of German investments was the City of Novi Sad. In Vojvodina, German companies employ 23,000 people, and about 1.5 billion euros have been invested. This region is very important for German companies and in general for trade relations between the two countries - stressed the director of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Frank Aletter.

Germany has been one of the largest investment partners in Serbia for years, where 400 German companies currently operate, employing about 65,000 people, and in the last few years, their investments in Serbia amount to over 2.5 billion euros. On the occasion of the jubilee, within the special event "AHK Road Show", the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce visited Subotica, today Novi Sad, while visits to Čačak and Niš are also being planned.
