Under the IPA cross-border program Serbia-Hungary, the funds for the project "The environmental protection and the use of renewable energy sources for the green future of children " have been approved. The lead project beneficiary is the Energy Agency of the City of Novi Sad, and a project partner is the Municipality of Algyő. The project is educational and it is related to the renewable energy and energy efficiency. The project has been implemented with the aim of encouraging children to use the energy efficiently and also with the aim of influencing the legal framework in the field of energy and environment. The project has developed the new way of thinking about the energy resources, the consequences of unconscionable waste of energy and the benefits of efficient use of energy. The most important effects of energy efficiency savings are financial. The total value of the project amounts to 134.245,48 euros, out of which 102.745.48  euros is related to the Energy Agency of the City of Novi Sad.
