Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Đurić, received the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Hungary in Novi Sad, for the Administrative Districts of Bačka and Srem, Arpad Zavarka. On that occasion, the Deputy Mayor welcomed Consul Arpad Zavarko, who has been performing this function since October last year, and thanked him for his first official visit. The Consul pointed out the good relations nurtured by the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Hungary and conveyed to the Deputy Mayor the greetings of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Serbia, Attila Pinter.

Deputy Mayor Milan Đurić presented the economic and investment potentials of Novi Sad to the guest. He pointed out that the City is open for new investments and ready to support any good investment from the Republic of Hungary. The officials expressed interest in economic and investment co-operation and discussed the possibility of establishing and improving such co-operation between Novi Sad and Hungarian cities.
