The Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, received the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Tomáš Kuchta. During the meeting in the City Hall, the Mayor and the Ambassador positively assessed the cooperation so far.
The greatest attention was paid to the further development of good relations established in several fields, especially in the field of agriculture and culture. The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to intensify mutual contacts between businessmen of the two countries, which were really difficult in the past year due to the global pandemic and the impossibility of organizing, among other things, fair events. In that sense, the discussion focused on strengthening trade and economic cooperation through alternative, modern models of communication and business, and Ambassador Kuchta confirmed his interest in the further development of trade, investment, agriculture, etc.
Attention was also paid to the issues of European integration and the comprehensive support that the Czech Republic provides to Serbia on that path. To that end, the Ambassador emphasized, it is of great importance to encourage the development of local self-governments, the strengthening of which cumulatively optimizes the chances for progress at the level of the entire country.
