The bicycle path/lane Novi Sad - Begeč belongs to one of the three corridors that pass through Serbia, the EuroVelo 6 Corridor, from the Atlantic to the Black Sea - a project of the European Cycling Federation, which is developing 14 international cycling corridors into a network that covers the European continent.

In the past period, the works on the construction of the first two phases of the Novi Sad - Begeč bicycle path/lane were completed, as follows:

• Construction of the bicycle path/lane Novi Sad - Begeč 1^st phase (l=1,727 m)

• The value of the works made around 24.5 million dinars.

• Construction of the bicycle path/lane Novi Sad - Begeč 2^nd phase (l=4,548 m)

• The value of the works made around 71.8 million dinars.

During October 2022, the construction of the 3^rd Phase of Novi Sad - Begeč bicycle path/lane from Sime Matavulja Street in Novi Sad to Dunavska Street in Futog (l=10,573 m) was contracted in the amount of 170.6 million dinars, with co-financing from the Capital Investments Department of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, in the amount of 85 million dinars.

The subject of the contract is the construction of a bicycle path/lane on the section from Sime Matavulja Street in Novi Sad to Dunavska Street in Futog, with a total length of 10.5 km. The works are proceeding in accordance with the planned dynamics, and the completion of the works according to the Contract is planned for July 5^th, 2023.
