After having met around twenty small entrepreneurs from Čenej last week and having talked with them about their business activities and difficulties they encounter, the Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević held another two meetings with them aimed at concretization of their solutions, at the City Hall today. During the initial meeting with the Mayor, the entrepreneurs presented the current difficulties in the course of their work, including some of the infrastructure problems that are not under the direct jurisdiction of the City of Novi Sad. On that occasion the Mayor announced that he will provide the appropriate assistance even in the part that does not fall under the jurisdiction of the local self-government, so as to enable smooth business operations to the citizens of Čenej. Consequently, the Mayor gathered today the representatives of business and Local Community of Čenej, as well as the executives of two companies operating in Novi Sad which may provide assistance in securing the favorable business conditions in this suburban area.
Therefore, in addition to Mayor Vučević and a business representative from Čenej Uroš Subotin, as well as Jovana Gigić from Čenej Local Community, today’s meetings were attended by the representatives of the Telekom of Serbia Company Dragan Marinković and Željko Janković and the Power Supply Novi Sad Company director Bojan Atlagić with his associates.
Having looked at the information about the existence of problems related to mobile telecommunications in the community of Čenej, the Mayor insisted on discovering the causes and finding timely and effective solutions in order for residents of Čenej to have better signal coverage. Telekom Company representatives promised to immediately start the activity of placing the base station, that is, the pillar of mobile phone signal in Čenej and added that they are planning to release an increased signal of cellular network in this area of the City. During the second meeting, where the stabilization of the voltage of electricity was discussed, it was also said that the Power Supply Company is working intensely to eliminate short-term voltage drops, since the condition of the network is being monitored and corrected, and that the works will continue until the final optimization is achieved.
During both meetings, the dynamics of key issues was agreed and it was concluded that the implementation of the planned activities should start immediately, while the Mayor reiterated that the City will always endeavor to provide the best possible conditions for small business entrepreneurs throughout its whole City area through all available resources. Likewise, further direct communication between Čenej entrepreneurs and the Electric Power Supply Company and Telekom of Serbia Company representatives was agreed, in order to monitor the progress of the upcoming activities.
