Austria opened its consulate in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad on Wednesday to cover the Vojvodina Province.
A statement quoted Novi Sad Mayor Milos Vucevic as saying that the consulate is another firm link in cooperation between Serbia and Austria. “We have to look to the future and create even better cooperation by strengthening economic relations and attracting investments to create conditions for young people to stay in Serbia,” the Mayor said.
The statement quoted Austrian Ambassador Nikolaus Lutterotti as saying that the two countries will continue their economic and cultural cooperation. He said the consulate will help forge even closer ties, contribute to better mutual understanding and open new cooperation opportunities.
Zoran Tadic is Austria’s honorary Consul in Novi Sad.
