AMBASSADORS OF FRANCOPHONE COUNTRIES VISIT NOVI SAD

The Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, received diplomatic representatives of Francophone countries in Serbia, which are part of a single group that is a platform for exchanging information and contacts between diplomatic missions, as well as with all actors advocating for Francophonie in Serbia.

March is a month traditionally dedicated all over the world to Francophonie, the French language, its beauty, richness and diversity, and on that occasion a meeting was held at the City Hall to discuss Novi Sad as the European Capital of Culture and a place where it is traditionally nurtured and develops multiculturalism.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Office of the Francophonie in Serbia, the Ambassador of Egypt, H.E. Amr Aljowaily, the first vice-president of that organization, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Mohammed Amine Belhaj, as well as the ambassadors of Tunisia, Poland, Cambodia, Switzerland, Cyprus, the charge d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea, representatives of the French Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

The ambassadors pointed out that their mission is to promote Francophonie, as well as the cultural and linguistic diversity and values ​​of multilateralism - peace, security and development, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, solidarity. They emphasized that they will continue to advocate for those values ​​in their work, while the City of Novi Sad will continue to nurture and support the spread of French culture.
