The Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Serbia H.E. Chen Bo at the City Hall. On that occasion, they expressed great satisfaction with the traditionally good cooperation and connection between the two nations.
They discussed the importance of implementing large infrastructure projects that contribute to changing the economic picture and general progress. The Mayor emphasized the importance of the projects for the construction of the Fruškogorski corridor and the fourth bridge in the extension of the Boulevard of Europe, which will be realized in cooperation with Chinese partners. Culture, education and sports were also assessed as very important areas. The Mayor and the Ambassador said that they expect the situation to improve when it comes to the pandemic, and thus the normalization of activities, among other things, in the mentioned areas of social life.
Vučević thanked for the great support of the Chinese people to Serbia in facing the challenge facing the whole world and emphasized that solidarity and unity can only produce changes for the better.
The officials also discussed the growing economic potential of tourism and the contribution of culture in that field. They agreed that they will continue with the realization of important projects in vital areas, primarily in the field of infrastructure, but also that long-term cultural exchange and further strengthening of ties in the fields of education and science will not be neglected.
