The Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amr Aljowaily talked today, in the City Hall, about the possibilities for developing cooperation in the field of economy, tourism and culture.
Likewise, they talked about the initiative for Novi Sad and Alexandria, which is the second largest city in Egypt, to establish closer relations, given the common characteristics of the two cities. The officials assessed that nurturing multiculturalism is very important on the way to a more humane society, and that it is common to the two environments.
They agreed that extremely good relations between Serbia and Egypt are a strong starting point for many bilateral projects and activities at the local community level. Support for Serbian and Egyptian companies in carrying out business ventures was highlighted as an important aspect of cooperation.
Mayor Vučević and the Ambassador of Egypt stated that the European Capital of Culture project is a platform that has great potential for joint engagement, and that cultural tourism is a branch that increasingly contributes to the economy.
