The Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko in the City Hall.
The Mayor thanked the Ambassador for all the activities that the Russian Federation is doing in the field of reducing the consequences of the pandemic, and especially for the help in the form of vaccines, which contribute to the smooth process of immunization of the population in our country.
The two interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation between the two countries in all fields, from economy to culture, noting that the friendship between the two nations has never been stronger, and that this strong bond is reflected at the local level, i.e. that local self-governments also benefit.
In that regard, they also discussed the prospects of economic cooperation, benefits for investing in Novi Sad, and referred to the title that Novi Sad will take next year as a center of European culture and in this regard, the intensification of cultural cooperation between Novi Sad and Russian cities.
The meeting expressed the readiness of the representatives of the City and the Embassy to contribute to the continued strengthening of cooperation between Serbia and Russia with their work and commitment, especially having in mind the traditionally good friendly relations and deep historical, cultural, linguistic and religious closeness of the two peoples.
