Novi Sad's Mayor Miloš Vučević met in the City Hall with the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Damian Bergant. They talked about the successful cooperation so far, and especially referred to the connections made by Novi Sad and Maribor, i.e. Ljubljana.

The advisory role of Maribor in the process of Novi Sad's candidacy for the European Capital of Culture and the European Youth Capital was assessed as very important, as well as many joint projects in the field of culture and education that Novi Sad has realized with Slovenian places.

The Mayor pointed out that the Association of Slovenes "Kredarica", which has been existing for over 20 years, is very active in social life and important for Novi Sad.

The officials agreed that there is a lot of room for further development of cooperation, primarily in the field of economy, as well as in other areas of vital importance for the lives of citizens.

The Mayor and the Ambassador expressed confidence that the crisis caused by the Corona virus epidemic will soon be over, and that conditions will be created for unhindered activities in terms of the development of international and intercity correspondence, respectively.
