Acting Head of the City Administration for Property and Property Rights Relations and Project Manager Mrs. Mirjana Marković attended the ceremony in Novi Sad where equipment was awarded to partners in the Project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems"", conducted by the City of Novi Sad - City Administration for Property and Property Rights Relations in cooperation with the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci.
The project is implemented within the Exchange 5 Program, funded by the European Union from the allocation for IPA 2014, and implemented by the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government (MDULS) in cooperation with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) as an implementing partner. The Contracting Authority for all grant scheme projects is the Ministry of Finance, i.e. the Sector for Contracting and Financing Programs from European Union Funds (CFCU).
The project plans to improve the process of establishing public property rights on the utility infrastructure of the City of Novi Sad and the Municipalities of Apatin and Sremski Karlovci in order to create conditions for accelerated local economic development and bringing local self-governments closer to citizens and the economy.
The procured computer equipment will contribute to the improvement of technical capacities in all three local self-governments, especially in the services in charge of property issues and legalization of illegally constructed facilities, by establishing a more efficient system of data collection and processing.
The Project "Empowering Local Public Property Management Systems" is worth 242,860.18 euros, started on 22nd December 2018 and lasts for 24 months.
