Within the EXCHANGE 4 Programme, the project “Provision of Professional Aid to the Local Self-Government Units in the Strategic Planning and Financial Management in the Framework of the Exchange 4 EU Program – Development of the Environmental Protection Program” was approved to the City of Novi Sad. By adopting the Environmental Protection Program, the City of Novi Sad receives a clearly defined environmental protection strategy for its territory, with determined long-term, mid-term and short-term activities. By creating the Action Plan for implementation of the Environmental Protection Program, priority activities for environmental protection are defined, with set timeframes and resources required for their implementation. The adoption of the Environmental Protection Program is a legal requirement of the local self-government unit. The project value is reflected in technical assistance of experts who provided support to the City during the project implementation, in the period from 29^th January 2014 until 31^st March 2015.
