Under the IPA cross-border program Serbia-Hungary, the funds for the project "Protection of the environment in the cross-border territories" have been approved. The lead project beneficiary is the Institute for the Protection of Workers of Novi Sad, and a project partner is the Government Office for Csongrád Country. The project includes two similar settlements (Šangaj on the Serbian and Algyő on the Hungarian side) where the impact of oil processing facilities on the environment will be examined by taking the samples of air, water, soil and urine of the inhabitants of two settlements. Since Hungary has been using the so-called "Green technology" in refining for over 10 years and we have been using it for more than 3, the differences in the findings will be compared and the use of the "cleaner" technologies will be recommended with the exchange of experience on both sides. The total value of the project amounts to 197.711 euros and the value of the project relating to the Institute for the protection of workers of Novi Sad is 85. 670 euros.
