- Since 2007 the City of Novi Sad has allocated approximately 420 million RSD for active employment policy measures. New features of our action plan in relation to the previous ones include considerable investments in self-employment. In order to strengthen the capacities of those who decide to launch their own businesses, this year we have for the first time envisaged the funds for mentoring services. This supplementary training and education measure will be implemented next year as well, while special attention will be given to people with disabilities, women entrepreneurs and employers in search of scarce occupations personnel – said Mr. Sečujski, expressing his gratiute for the recognition.
Owing to the measures of the City of Novi Sad in relation to the job creation incentives for this year, 284 people have been employed in total, out of which 122 via programs for hiring apprentices, 50 more through subsidies to employers for creation of new jobs, 27 through public works, while 85 people started their own business.
