Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević received the British Ambassador in Belgrade, H.E. Denis Keefe. The Mayor welcomed the Ambassador and said that today's meeting represents a continuation of the fruitful cooperation between the British Embassy and the City of Novi Sad.
- Traditionally, we foster good relations and hence we are pleased to be able to host the Ambassador who recently took the office in Serbia. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Ambassador and wish him much success in bringing closer the United Kingdom and our country, as well as in supporting the process of Serbia's accession to the European Union – the Mayor said.
H.E. Denis Keefe expressed his satisfaction with the arrival to Novi Sad and stressed that it was his first official visit outside Belgrade.
- We are grateful to the City and the Mayor as they always warmly welcome the citizens of Great Britain who are regular guests here. I want to explore Novi Sad and EXIT, and my son said it is a great festival – the Ambassador said.
During the meeting at the City Hall, the Mayor and the Ambassador talked about the EXIT festival, but also about the possibilities of cooperation in vital areas of social life.
