CHARGE D’AFFAIRES OF THE BRITISH EMBASSY AT THE CITY HALL

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević received a Charge d'Affaires of the British Embassy in Serbia David McFarlane at the City Hall today.

During the meeting, they discussed the current cooperation between Novi Sad and British twin City of Norwich, as well as the plans for the future.

- Novi Sad is the city with great potential as a multinational and multicultural community, it is also the second largest city in Serbia, the center of economy and tourism, as well as the fair and congress center of the region. Likewise, Novi Sad is a university center with large number of students, and we are confident that Novi Sad has a potential to become a development center of the IT sector – Mayor Vučević said.

- David McFarlane expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Novi Sad and thanked for the reception, emphasizing that he was pleased with the efforts of the City Administration to bring more investors to Novi Sad. He praised the existing cooperation and commented on future projects between Novi Sad and Great Britain, adding that the British Embassy will do everything to improve the cooperation and accelerate it on mutual benefit.
