
In the Novi Sad City Hall, Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević welcomed the delegation of Mongolia, headed by Luvsanvandan Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the member of the Mongolian Parliament.
- It is my great pleasure to welcome you on one of the most significant dates in the history of Novi Sad – said Mayor Vučević. During the meeting the Mayor acquainted the Mongolian delegation with the economic potentials of Novi Sad and pointed out that the current city administration is actively working on the improvement of the business climate and logistical support to business people, as well as on connecting local economic entities with foreign companies. The Mayor invited the representatives of Mongolian companies from the domain of agriculture to join the International Agricultural Fair next year, as it is an excellent occasion for them to present Mongolian potentials to Serbia and regional countries.
Luvsanvandan Bold, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, thanked the Mayor for the meeting and presented the economy of his country in which agriculture and mining are major economic branches. The Minister pointed out that Mongolia has vast natural resources, fertile land, young and educated workforce, and added that there is a possibility of development of cooperation in the domain of civil engineering and infrastructure.
The officials concluded that agriculture, food industry, mining, civil engineering and education are sectors in which the Republic of Serbia and Mongolia can improve their so far modest cooperation, and that in the coming period cooperation can be established on the local level with some Mongolian cities.
Assistant Mayor of Novi Sad Vladimir Stojković, Head of Mayor’s Office Aleksandar Petrović, Manager of the Local Economic Development Office Olivera Simović and Manager of Regional Chamber of Commerce of Novi Sad Milorad Radojević also attended the meeting.
