In order to revive the extinct residential buildings construction, the City of Novi Sad, upon the proposal of the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development and the Local Economic Development Office, introduced the reliefs for investors regarding the land development fee. Several novelties were introduced concerning the change in the payment method, reducing the value of points, the point valuation with the euro and the possibility of significant reduction in the total debt of investors.
- It is extremely important that the councilors accepted the application of new measures, which should enable the investors who bought sites at high prices in the previous years to continue the works, while new investors would be able to start new businesses more easily. The purpose of the reliefs is to reduce the expenses of investors and to increase the revenue of the City through a greater number of construction sites. New measures, the result of joint work of the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development, the City and the Local Economic Development Office, raised a lot of interest and met with the approval from investors – said the Director of the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development Goran Višnjić, pointing out that the deadline for the conclusion of an annex to the contract is July 1st and that there is little time left for investors who have outstanding liabilities and advised all the investors to submit requests as soon as possible, in order to meet the tight deadlines for the procedure to be carried out.
Investors who want to reschedule their debt should submit a request at the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development, so that operational services could process the request and deliver it to the City Council, which will decide on the extent of the decrease. The Annex to the Contract on Debt Rescheduling has to be signed by July 1st, while the debt has to be paid by the end of the year.
